Classic Mini SNES Release: Nintendo Patent Hints Revival Of The Popular SNES Of The 90s; Protecting Trademark From Copycats [VIDEO]

#ClassicMiniSNES #Nintendo – Classic Mini SNES Release: Nintendo Patent Hints Revival Of The Popular SNES Of The 90s; Protecting Trademark From Copycats [VIDEO] : The Classic Mini Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) popularized by Nintendo in the nineties may make a comeback as hinted by a patent registration by the Japanese console maker. However, the patent does not reveal anything other than a console that looks like the one in SNES and observers say that Nintendo may just be registering a trademark to protect itself from copycats.

Last year’s hottest toy for the holidays was Japan’s Mini NES Classic Edition, which sold out faster than retailers can restock their supplies. It is not surprising then that gamers are on the lookout for news and updates about the latest game consoles from Nintendo to hit the market.

Classic Mini SNES Console Hinted

A Twitter bot discovered a patent registration by Nintendo with an image of a console that look very much like the one used in the SNES. The Japanese post was translated by Google in English and fans jump to the natural conclusion that the Classic Mini SNES may be revived soon, possibly after the unveiling of the Nintendo Switch, according to Forbes.

Classic Mini SNES Revival

The SNEs was well-received worldwide, establishing Nintendo as the leading video game company in the world. The SNES outperforms the NES not only with superior games, but in visuals as well.

The SNES was widely known in Japan as the Super Famicon, which was Nintendo’s follow-up console to the immensely popular NES.The console featured “Street Fighter 2,” “Super Mario World,” “Chrono Trigger” and the “Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.”

The SNES is also included in the top 20 best-selling games consoles with 49.1 million units sold from 1990 to 2003. Hence, observers say that it is not unlikely for Nintendo to release a Classic Mini SNES on the latter part of 2017 or 2018, according to the Daily Mail.

Classic Mini SNES Release Unconfirmed

There is no official announcement other than the patent registration by Nintendo, which could also mean that there may not be a rebooted Classic Mini SNES. Instead, Nintendo may just have registered the trademark to protect itself from copycats. A user in the gonintendo forum spoke of other companies seemingly copying the console design of SNES, which could have prompted Nintendo to take protective measures.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 specs, price point: Bezel-less, bendable key features ripe for 2017 release

#Samsung #GalaxyNote8 – Samsung Galaxy Note 8 specs, price point: Bezel-less, bendable key features ripe for 2017 release : Galaxy Note 8 hopes to rebuild trust and company branding after the debacle of Note 7 this year.  The explosive comeback of Note series in the market has been highly anticipated, especially with its rumored key features

The upcoming Galaxy Note 8 continues to be highly interesting for consumers despite the serious technical blunder that Galaxy Note 7 encountered following its August 2016 official release. For some consumers, the focal point of interest for the Note 8 is stemmed from its potential bendable and bezel-less key features.

In retrospect, the Samsung’s interest for a foldable or bendable smartphone is not something new. Back in 2013, Samsung unveiled a prototype of such device during a keynote at CES, according to The Telegraph. Almost four years after the event, rumors online are now suggesting that such technology may be ripe for harvest, for Samsung could potentially incorporate the bendable smartphone technology to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

The speculated game changing feature is somehow reasonable, especially that the South Korean based company needs something unique and stunning to somehow regain the consumers trust. Moreover, an awesome presentation of a flexible Note 8 will likely be complemented with a bezel-less feature as most rumors would point out.

In view of the speculated features, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will surely be head turner once those unique features will be incorporated. Additionally, internal upgrades should also be anticipated, apart from the external upgrades to be adapted by Note 8.

Following such potential external upgrade, an increased RAM and internal storage are expected to come with 6GB RAM and 128GB on board memory, according to Yahoo News. An upgraded AI voice assistant together with an upgraded S-Pen, should also be expected.

Granting that such features and futuristic upgrades will be incorporated with the upcoming Note 8, then there will surely be a drastic change of price. From the usual $800 price point of the previous Note 7, Galaxy Note 8 will likely be priced a little bit higher considering the technological leap it would be offering. Source : yibada

Amazon Prime Now replenishes NES Classic Edition stock in select cities (update)

Members of Amazon Prime Now, Amazon’s local delivery service that’s only available in select locations nationwide, can grab the elusive NES Classic Edition today. There’s a catch, of course: Only select cities are included in the offer.

The Amazon Prime Now offer does have a nice perk, though. Unlike standard Amazon Prime, this service includes free, two-hour delivery for all NES Classic Edition orders. That means that customers would be able to start playing the tiny plug-and-play system not long after purchasing it, if they can even manage that.

The good news is that Amazon hasn’t specified how limited the Amazon Prime Now stock is for the NES Classic Editions that are now on sale, although anyone who’s been hunting around for one since its release last month should be well aware by now that they go fast. Customers can only pick up one of the consoles per order.

The full list of cities that can grab an NES Classic Edition through Amazon Prime Now is as follows:

  • Los Angeles, California
  • San Francisco Bay area, California
  • Dallas, Texas
  • San Antonio, Texas

Update: We’ve updated the story above to reflect where the NES Classic Edition is available on Dec. 15. The previous cities that had it in stock are all sold out, as expected.
Update #2: We’ve updated again with a list of cities where the NES Classic Edition is in stock on Dec. 16.
Update #3: We’ve updated once more to include the cities where the NES Classic Edition is shipping on Dec 19.
Update #4: We’ve updated to show where the NES Classic Edition is available on Dec. 20.
Update #5: We’ve again updated to include where the NES Classic Edition is available on Dec. 28.

Google Daydream Could Be On Top In 2017 [Video]

#GoogleDaydream #MobileVR – Google Daydream Could Be On Top In 2017 [Video] : The mobile VR industry has only two competing developers, Google Daydream and Samsung Gear VR and with 2016 about to end, let’s take a look at which of these two will be on top next yea. Both Samsung Gear VR and Google Daydream are impressive but as early as now, there have been few signs that could prove that the latter will be able to beat its competitor in 2017.

Broader audience

Google Daydream is being brought closer to the masses as Google signed up some partnerships particularly the major media companies along with Netfilx. With the recent moves by Google, people will easily feel the presence of such product thus making them want to try and eventually continue using the VR.

Google Daydream’s Bundled Controller

The controller can offer hands on feels compared to Gear VR’s, just don’t mind the look because it is almost similar to the controller of the Nintendo Wii and it has accelerometer and gyroscope.

Compatible with more Smartphones

Google Daydream is now compatible with Moto Z and Moto Z Force along with Samsung Galaxy S6, Google Pixel and Pixel Xl which were initially compatible with the VR. There is no information as of yet on the additional phones that will be compatible with Daydream but reports suggest that more Android phones will be compatible with Daydream.

Ease of use

Google Daydream is user-friendly and reliable as the phone stays in place even if the user keeps moving.

Continous growth of the content library

Expect more VR titles to be added in the Daydream library next year.

Meanwhile, some other remaining minor issues have been remedied like the of Daydream’s adjustability and eyeglass compatibility as well as the fit of the headset, New Atlas reported.

NES Classic Edition in stock at the Nintendo World Store in New York City today

#NESClassicEdition #NintendoWorld – NES Classic Edition in stock at the Nintendo World Store in New York City today : It may be ultra-short warning, but Nintendo announced this morning that the Nintendo store in New York City will have the NES Classic Edition in stock at 9 a.m. today, with a limit of one per customer.

The NES Classic is still severely supply constrained after the holidays, and these sorts of the messages are the only way most fans have to try to grab one of the coveted systems.

They didn’t specify how many units they would have in stock.

We had some thoughts about what Nintendo could do, or why they’re not doing it, when it comes to helping to increase the supply of the popular systems. The big winner so far has been Nintendo’s presence in the gaming and mainstream press as even the hint of being able to purchase one has driven both lines at those locations and traffic to the news stories discussing them.

If you happen to track one down, eBay will likely guarantee you a pretty high price if you decide to resell it. But, and it’s just an idea, maybe play it and have some fun? It looks like this Nintendo location has been getting units regularly in the past few days, so it may be pay to check back often. Source : polygon

#Honda #HondaCivic – 2017 HONDA CIVIC HATCHBACK REVIEW: SHOULD YOU BUY OR NOT? : The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback is one of the most popular and most searched cars of the year. But is it really worth all the hype? Check out our 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback review and decide if it is really a car to buy or not.

Exterior and Interior

Honda has left behind the futuristic spaceship aesthetic of the previous Civic Hatchback. The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback is now three centimeters longer but 6 kilos less than the previous generation Civic. It also has a more aggressive look which is a declaration of intentions and of dynamism.

These changes have a lot to do with the brand focusing on the US market for the commercialization of the new generation of its compact star. It seems that the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback is already succeeding as the guys at CarandDriver and other auto sites are giving it a near-perfect score.

One of the first impression one would get with the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback is that now there is more comfort and relief in the rear seats. The trunk is huge as well for this category with 478 liters. Next thing to notice is that the driver is now 3.5 centimeters closer to the asphalt. A new suspension, lower center of gravity, and increased body rigidity contribute to the compact model being more dynamic and ultimately achieving a high degree of comfort.

The complex dashboard look had also already disappeared and now one can find in the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback a customizable digital speedometer and an infotainment monitor with a neat and modern appearance according to Autoblog

Mechanical and Power

But the new era begins under the hood of the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback. The new block of gasoline with turbo engine can produce around 182 HP which reflects the tradition of Honda when it comes to stretching the laps. Already from the idle, the 1.5 liter turns without breath until 6,600 revolutions.

The direction with variable multiplication, derived from the one used in the NSX, is balanced and communicative. It is inserted with more vigor and the chassis has a firm taring, but also filters effectively. And by its touch, it is clear that the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback aspires to be one of the most dynamic compact in the market.

The offer of versions, when it starts to be sold in early 2017, will be somewhat scarce: The new 1.0 and 1.5 VTEC gasoline, and the familiar 1.6 i-DTEC. Later that year, the 1.0 VTEC petrol three-cylinder that has 127 hp power and 200 Nm of torque, and the 1.5 VTEC four-cylinder engine with 180 hp and 240 Nm, are said to arrive.

In conclusion, the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback is indeed one of the best cars this year. It will make you forget about its Sedan counterpart and is an awesome car while people wait for the Type R.

Microsoft Surface Book i7 Review – Is It Worth Buying?

#MicrosoftSurface #SurfaceBooki7 – Microsoft Surface Book i7 Review – Is It Worth Buying? : The Microsoft Surface Book i7 (not to be confused with the Surface Pro) is a laptop by Microsoft that first popularised the Surface range of devices. This business series laptop from Microsoft was first launched last year with a good reception from the market. This year, the Redmond giant has upgraded the laptop to suit the needs of users with high processing speed and power requirements.

The surface book has always been a better device than the MacBook is some aspects. Now I’m not much of an Apple fan anyway, but it has not tainted this remark, honest. Truly speaking, the Surface book and its design does prove to be more conducive to daily work schedules as compared to the MacBook Pro. The detachable screen provides a very comfortable tablet mode for the user, particularly if the needs are specific to art. The USB 3 and the presence of an SD card slot are added perks, something that the MacBook Pro blissfully left out.

As compared to last year, the new Microsoft Surface Book i7 performs much better, considering the fact that Microsoft decided to crank up the processing  power and battery capacity this year. On the downside, these additions have added weight to the device; it now weighs 3.62 pounds as compared to its predecessor that weighed 3.5 pounds only.

As much as we wanted the hinge to become more flexible and make it easy to become flat on the table, this design shortcoming has hung on. The new Surface Book continues to make you rely on its detachable qualities to get ti working like a Table top tablet, for which it is essential to detach and then join it as required.

Undoubtedly, the device has a lot of processing power that is sure to give you value for money. The new Core i7 processor  with the Skylake chip is good enough to handle your everyday peocessing needs. In terms of display, the screen has a 13.5-inch display, a 3,000×2,000 pixel resolution and a really crisp visual output.

For all this, the price payable is rather high. The tag reads $2399, which is a huge price to pay, but it is worth the price, given the features.

Sony Xperia XZ (2017) Leaks In Blurry Image: No Side Bezels, No Physical Home Button

#Sony #SonyXperiaXZ – Sony Xperia XZ (2017) Leaks In Blurry Image: No Side Bezels, No Physical Home Button : Sony could launch an edge-less smartphone in 2017, presumably called the Xperia XZ (2017), according to a new leak.

The smartphone market has become increasingly fierce and heated competition is forcing OEMs to come up with new ways to stand out from the crowd and set their smartphones apart from rivals.

Apple and Samsung still dominate the smartphone market, but Sony wants a bigger slice of the pie and the company is apparently making notable efforts in this direction.

While upgrading more Xperia devices to Android Nougat and promising to be the first OEM to release Android 7.1.1 to its lineup (besides Google, of course), Sony is also working on new devices to release in 2017 and one of them could be particularly exciting.

Sony Xperia XZ (2017) Leak

A very blurry image recently leaked online, purportedly showing Sony’s next-generation flagship expected to launch as the Xperia XZ (2017). Should this leak turn out to be accurate, the smartphone could have a dramatically different design with extra screen real estate.

The blurry photo shows virtually no side bezels at all, albeit the top and bottom edges are still quite sizeable. The image shows only the front of the device, revealing the position of the front camera, speaker, and proximity sensor.

Based on this leak, it seems that the Sony Xperia XZ (2017) will not have a physical Home button, which indicates that the fingerprint scanner could either be mounted on the back of the device or embedded underneath the display.

The photo offers no hint as to whether the Xperia XZ (2017) will have a headphone jack, as there seems to be a growing trend of ditching the port in the latest flagships. Apple started it with the iPhone 7 and got mixed reactions, but more smartphones with no headphone jacks are nonetheless expected to hit the scene in the future.

CES 2017 Debut?

Sony is already gearing up for CES 2017 where it will surely unveil a number of new devices, but it remains to be seen whether the purported Xperia XZ (2017) will be among them. Phone Arena points out that Sony usually brings its first wave of Android smartphones for the year in February, just before the Mobile World Congress kicks off, so the Xperia XZ could make its debut in a couple of months rather than in January at CES.

With no official word from Sony, however, take this blurry Xperia XZ (2017) leak with a hefty grain of salt.

#Xiaomi #RedmiNote4 – Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 latest news, specs: Device now available in new Blue, Black color variants, no increase in price : Back in August, Xiaomi put a familiar play against its domestic rivals by offering flagship phones with slick design and decent specs intended for low-end market, namely the Redmi Note 4. The newest addition to its Redmi Note line was initially made available in Gold, Silver, and Grey color. Now, the China-based tech company announced two new Blue and Black color variants for the device.

According to NDTV, the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 color variants are only available for models with 3GB of RAM/32GB of inbuilt storage and 3GB of RAM/64GB of inbuilt storage. This Xiaomi smartphone offers a 16GB base storage and a 64GB internal storage, which is expandable via microSD of up to 128GB.

In its optics department, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and f/2.0 aperture. Its front-snapper features a 5-megapixel camera, which is assumed to capture in 85-degree wide angle shots.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 supports a hybrid dual-SIM slot, which means users can choose to go with a combination of either dual-SIM cards or one Micro-SIM and one microSD card. The fingerprint scanner is located at the back panel right below Xiaomi Redmi 4’s rear camera.

Its connectivity options come with WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, and 4G connectivity with VoLTE, Micro-USB, and Glonass. The Redmi Note 4 carries a hefty 4100mAh non-removable battery.
