Huawei Honor Magic Review: The Smartphone Of The Future Has Arrived

#huawei #honormagic –Huawei Honor Magic Review: The Smartphone Of The Future Has Arrived: Perhaps the only smartphone that truly lives up to its name is the Huawei Honor Magic. Some of its innovative features are something that has never been seen before. In other words, the Honor Magic is so magical that might as well be a device straight out of the future.

What makes the Honor Magic so magical is the artificial intelligence integrated on the device. The AI, according to CNET, allows the smartphone to be smarter than any other device right now. It responds to physical sensors allowing the Honor Magic to know where it is and recognize the person closest to it. The smartphone can also determine what that person is doing and what he or she will do next.

Forbes cited some examples as to how smart this smartphone and its Magic Live UI can be. If the user likes to listen to Spotify every morning while heading to work, the Honor Magic will eventually change the lock screen shortcut icons to include the Spotify icon. Also, the user can make the handset show notifications on the lock screen once it recognizes the user’s face. This is possible because the Huawei Honor Magic utilizes a front-facing infrared camera as well as a tracking algorithm for the eyes and face to “memorize” the face of the user.

Aside from being magically smart, the Honor Magic also looks good and does other functions well. It comes in golden black or porcelain white, sports a 5-inch display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, and is powered by a 2,3GHz octa-core Huawei Kirin CPU. The Honor Magic also has 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, and a 2900mAh battery with a quick charge. The battery can charge up to 70 percent in just 20 minutes. The Honor Magic also has a single home button at the front, a 12MP dual-lens rear camera and an 8MP front-facing one.

The Huawei Honor Magic debuted back in January at the CES 2017 and instantly made some noise. In fact, it was considered one of the best smartphones introduced at the popular tech show along with the likes of the Huawei Mate 9, Blackberry Mercury, Nokia 6 and the Asus Zenfone AR. The Huawei Honor Magic is already available in China and will be made available in U.S. and other parts of the world but there’s no word yet as to when exactly that will be.

Galaxy Tab S3 Photo Surfaces Ahead of MWC 2017 Launch

#SamsungGalaxy #GalaxyTabS3 – Galaxy Tab S3 Photo Surfaces Ahead of MWC 2017 Launch : In the next few weeks, Samsung will be officially launching the new Galaxy Tab S3. This has been rumored for weeks since the company announced that it will not be featuring the Galaxy S8 in the said event. Now, a photo of the upcoming tablet from Samsung surfaced the Internet for the first time.

According to German site Winfuture, the new Galaxy Tab S3 tablet will have a new color in the lineup. Instead of the usual white colored backing, it will be replaced by the new silver color. In addition to the silver color, the original black version of the tablet will also be available. However, it would seem that this year’s tablet from Samsung will not be released in a smaller eight-inch screen.

The leaked image of the Galaxy Tab S3 shows that it will also have an S Pen with it. This will be the first time that that Galaxy tablet will support stylus input. Unfortunately, it would seem that the tablet does not have provisions for S Pen storage, according to the report.

The Galaxy Tab S3 will sport an older Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm. This will be paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of flash storage. Users will be able to extend system storage by adding a flash memory into the microSD card slot.

As for the display size, as mentioned, the tablet will only be released as one 9.7-inch version. The aspect ratio of the SuperAMOLED screen is 4:3 with resolutions of 2048×1536 pixels. The camera at the back will be a 12-megapixel sensor while the front snapper is a 4.7-megapixel version.

Apart from two colors, the Galaxy Tab S3 will also be available in WiFi only or WiFi and LTE variants. Both models will support Gigabit WLAN and Bluetooth 4.2.

At the moment, the Galaxy Tab S3 is rumored to be priced somewhere between $500 and $600. Samsung is yet to announce the actual price during this year’s Mobile World Congress in Spain. Based on the initial event announcement made by Samsung, the Galaxy Tab S3 will be featured during the event’s first day, Feb. 26.

Like in any leaked information on the Internet, this one should be taken with a grain of salt too. The good news is, consumers will not have long to wait before the Galaxy Tab S3 is released.

Microsoft Surface Phone Release Date, Specs Rumors: Late 2017 Phone Entry Might Be Able to Run PC Apps

#MicrosoftSurface #SurfavePhone – Microsoft Surface Phone Release Date, Specs Rumors: Late 2017 Phone Entry Might Be Able to Run PC Apps : Details are few and scattered when it comes to the Surface Phone, Microsoft’s newest foray into the handset market. It would look like Microsoft is taking its time with the device, with the goal of designing a device that will be its own category — similar to the company breakthrough that is the Surface.

With this goal in mind, it is to be expected that the rumored specs and release dates will be in constant flux. Trustedreviews has a round-up of the speculated features and timeline for the device. Nokiapoweruser reports of a trusted source confirming that the launch date has been pushed back to late 2017, in contrast to most unconfirmed reports that agree on a release within the first half of this year.

Sources, according to Nokiapoweruser, have reported about prototypes built with the new Snapdragon 835. These prototypes are also said to support Quick charging 4.0. Based on initial impressions, sources also claim a possible 5.5-inch quad high-definition (QHD) displays for the prototype. It is also rumored to have its own “Laptop Accessory” detachable keyboards. The inclusion of a stylus and other add-ons remain to be seen.

An interesting report is about one prototype with 6 GB random-access memory (RAM) that already has the ability to run X86 apps. In theory, this may allow the Surface Phone to run Windows applications — essentially becoming a PC in a phone.

Microsoft has just officially announced that they have made it possible to run Windows 10 on phone hardware — a concept that the company calls “cellular PCs.” This can have a huge impact on business users who depend on desktop applications for their work. It remains to be seen if the “cellular PC” implementations can run most of the current Windows apps.

At the least, it will bring the Surface Phone a step closer to its goal of differentiating itself from other premium phone offerings. Microsoft may yet reveal more details, as it was leaked that the company will be present at the Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC 2017).

Watch below for Microsoft’s demonstration of Windows 10 running on a mobile processor.

MICROSOFT SURFACE PHONE HAS FOUND A COMPETITOR IN SAMSUNG'S FOLDABLE GALAXY X

#MicrosoftSurface #SurfacePhone – MICROSOFT SURFACE PHONE HAS FOUND A COMPETITOR IN SAMSUNG’S FOLDABLE GALAXY X : Samsung is reportedly going to be showcasing its foldable display technology at the upcoming Mobile World Congress. The technology is said to be present on a smartphone dubbed the Galaxy X.

The Samsung Galaxy X could be possibly unveiled at the MWC 2017. Information about the smartphone from the Korean tech giant has been slowly leaking out on the internet. However, nothing concrete has shown up to support these claims of an actual foldable smartphone.

A report from ETNews claims that the company will be showing the Galaxy X behind closed doors at the MWC 2017. Only the “invited” will be able to take a look at the smartphone.

The Korean company is ensuring that any future venture will not cost the company any more money such as what happened with its Galaxy Note 7 thus the closed-door-by-invitation-only presentation. According to ETNews, the Korean tech giant will only be presenting prototypes to a selected few for it to get a better understanding of a possible market response towards the phone. The prototypes are said to be capable of bending both inwards and outwards.

ETNews further mentions that the company is looking to market and license this particular technology to manufacturers present at the trade show. If the market response to its closed-door presentation is optimistic it could pave the way for possible contracts with other mobile device manufacturers. The company is also looking to present a range of other foldable devices along with the Galaxy X at the MWC.

It should be noted that Redmond-based tech giant Microsoft, too, has filed a patent for a device with a flexible hinge and display that could transform a phone into a tablet. Speculations are saying that Microsoft’s foldable display technology could probably appear in the Surface Phone. Apart from Samsung and Microsoft working on foldable phones, LG has also been reported to be working on a similar device of its own.
