2017 Honda Civic Si Making A Debut Via YouTube? Accidental Or Planned?

#Honda #HondaCivicSi – 2017 Honda Civic Si Making A Debut Via YouTube? Accidental Or Planned? : Honda has just announced the debut of the all-new 2017 Honda Civic Si. The latest flagship will be introduced tomorrow, Thursday, April 6. Apparently, the debut will transpire via YouTube. Was it accidental or planned?

The upcoming 2017 Honda Civic Si has been confirmed to make its debut tomorrow. Honda made the announcement through its official Twitter account revealing the April 6 launch.

Interestingly, Honda’s announcement came out a week after an alleged specs for the 2017 Honda Civic Si circulated on the web. As we have reported last week, an email update from Honda was received by a certain Rickyg0731, who claims to have received the details of torque for the new Civic Si.

CivicX.com posted the statement of Rickyg0731 stating the details of the email from Honda. According to the latter, the email specified that the upcoming 2017 Honda Civic Si will have a turbocharged engine that can deliver 192 lb-ft of torque.

Following this email leak, Honda made an official announcement that they are now ready to reveal the specs of the upcoming Civic Si. It can also be noted that the new Civic Si is also highly anticipated to come out in the upcoming New York Auto Show, which is set next week, from April 14 to 23.

Did Honda suddenly plan to introduce the new Civic Si prior to the huge auto show in New York? Why is the automaker making an exclusive debut for the new model? Do the leaked specs preempt the debut?

Furthermore, reports also mentioned that the upcoming April 6 debut will happen through a video to be posted on the official Youtube account of Honda. It is quite intriguing to note that the debut will transpire via video clip and not through the usual grand launch on an auto show.

Whatever the reasons may be, sure the automaker has prepared something that is expected to make a greater impact through the YouTube launch. Check out this YouTube link tomorrow, April 6, to witness the debut of the 2017 Honda Civic Si.

Windows 10 Redstone 3 Could Bring Transparent Start Menu, Light Taskbar

#Windows10 #Redstone3 – Windows 10 Redstone 3 Could Bring Transparent Start Menu, Light Taskbar : The Windows 10 Creators Update (internally codenamed Redstone 2) is just around the corner, but all eyes already seem to be on the next OS update due in the fall as Redstone 3.

It looks like Redstone 3 will bring several visual improvements, and after seeing a bunch of universal apps getting the Project NEON treatment, it’s now the time to see how Microsoft could revamp the Start menu and the taskbar.

A screenshot published today by MSPU and allegedly coming from internal builds of Windows 10 Redstone 3 shows a facelift version of the existing Start menu that features transparent live tiles and the same blur effect that lets you see what’s behind it on the desktop.

Transparency and blue seem to be Microsoft’s next big things, and the Start menu will definitely look better with these visual effects, especially because they would create a more consistent user interface across the operating system. At this point, live tiles are solid colors, but starting with Redstone 3, Microsoft could make them all fully transparent, though it will also come down to developers to adopt this feature.

On Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft is yet to update all of its apps to feature transparent tiles, but hopefully everything would be faster in the case of PCs with Redstone 3.

Light taskbar also planned

Additionally, it looks like Microsoft might be working on a light taskbar as well, with users to be allowed to choose between dark and light, with a third version using the accent color configured in the OS.

A light taskbar has been spotted in several highly-praised concepts and it looks like Microsoft finally got the message, so the Redstone 3 update could bring it to PC users as well.

Redstone 3 is projected to launch in the fall, with early builds already being worked on behind closed doors at Microsoft. The first public builds are likely to ship to insiders shortly after the debut of the Creators Update, though it’s not yet clear if these visual improvements will be included or not..

The Next Microsoft Surface Device May Have Two Screens Including An E-Paper Display

#MicrosoftSurface #SurfacePhone – The Next Microsoft Surface Device May Have Two Screens Including An E-Paper Display : A new patent has surfaced indicating Microsoft’s plan of possibly coming up with a device with dual screens, one of which will be an E-paper display. The patent for the “dual display device” was filed on September of last year and was just published on March 30 by the World Intellectual Property Organization or WIPO.

Speculations have since sprouted as to what particular Microsoft device will utilize the patent. The patent shows a device with two screens. The regular screen is on one side while the e-paper display is on the opposite side. The regular screen will supposedly display “visually dynamic user inputs and controls” while the e-paper display will be for “visually static user inputs and controls”. According to Trusted Reviews, the e-paper display may be utilized for input controls such as a keyboard. In this regard, the patent may very well be for a new Microsoft Surface tablet though there are some who believes the patent will be used on a Surface Phone. The patent further explained that the visually static user controls on the e-paper display may include controls for playing music and videos. The patent also explained that the regular screen may display thumbnails of the cover album of the song being played using the static user controls.

Another theory says the e-paper display will act as a cover for a new Microsoft Surface Pro. This is most likely why the e-paper display will be detachable, rigid and touch-sensitive.

Microsoft is currently hard at work with a new Surface Book recently launched, the Surface Studio about to be officially launched in a few weeks, and a flurry of patents being published recently. One such patent is for “hinged displays“. Some quarters believe the two patents will find their way to one Windows 10 device. Of course, these are all speculations for now.

Microsoft ‘Surface Phone’ May Have Dual Display, But Patent Is Likely For A Tablet And Not A Smartphone

#Microsoft #SurfacePhone – Microsoft ‘Surface Phone’ May Have Dual Display, But Patent Is Likely For A Tablet And Not A Smartphone : A new patent made by Microsoft has recently surfaced and it’s a device that will have a dual display, possibly for the Microsoft “Surface Phone” and the “Surface Pro 5.” But with the way the device in the patent looks, it’s likely for a tablet, not a smartphone.

According to a report from Express, the patent showed that one side of the device would be a regular screen, while the other would be made of electronic paper. The e-paper could likely transform into a keyboard if needed be.

This new patent would likely eliminate the need for Type Cover accessory that currently exists in the “Surface Pro 4.” The patent also shows that the second screen could be used to control the device’s music choice, as well as play games.

The e-paper screen could likely turn into a set of buttons or controls that allow fans to play games on the device in an interactive way. The report said that this patent could also reflect the latest feature that the “Surface Phone” could have as previous reports have claimed that the smartphone might be a foldable device that features two displays.

But Trusted Reviews reports that the latest patent, which was filed in September 2016, is likely for a tablet design and not the “Surface Phone.” It’s likely for a new e-paper Surface device or for the “Surface Pro 5.”

The report said that the e-paper side of the dual display will be touched sensitive, is removable and could function as a cover. This hints that the patent is not for a smartphone but more for a tablet.

There is no guarantee, though, that Microsoft will indeed come out with a device that has this kind of technology. Companies usually use patents as a way to protect their ideas and not of what people can expect to come. In the meantime, check out more news about the Microsoft “Surface Phone” in the video below.

2018 Honda Accord To Debut With Revolutionary Steering

#Honda #HondaAccord – 2018 Honda Accord To Debut With Revolutionary Steering : A couple of months ago, Honda revealed that they are hastening the development of the next-gen Accord and this is because of the tenth-generation Civic.

The latter came out 2 years ago and it became an instant success due to having the best balance in power and fuel economy. The Civic’s attractiveness has got many adopting the car instead of the Accord thus explaining why Honda is desperate for a new-generation model.

Well, Honda teased yesterday that the next-gen Accord will be coming out later this year and one of the new things that will feature on the car is a highly-sophisticated steering wheel.

As how you can see in the video above, the steering wheel is filled with emoticons. Pressing on them will allow the Accord to create a unique sound that will alert other drivers based on the emotion selected.

But before you get overexcited for the feature, you should know that the entire content above is nothing more than a prank being played by Honda. We fell for it the first time as we forgot it was April Fool’s day. Sorry to get you involved.

Mercedes-Benz EQ-Class At Risk Of Being Left Out

#Mercedes #MercedesBenzEQ – Mercedes-Benz EQ-Class At Risk Of Being Left Out : Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that they will be launching a number of electric vehicles before 2025 and their first ever product will be called the EQ-Class.

This may sound like great news if you are a fan of Mercedes but the only unfortunate thing about it is that the carmaker is pretty late in the EV scene. Rival makes have already established their EV program with a variety of cars to choose from hence Mercedes is playing catch-up in this department.

Today, Mercedes revealed that they are already feeling the heat of being late and have called upon their developers to hasten the development of the EQ-Class. Mercedes announced that the new goal is to launch the EQ-Class in 2022 rather than 2025.

With the new projected release date, Mercedes won’t find themselves too far behind rival makes and it will give them a big chance to catch up on the sales front. The EQ-Class promises an electric experience where luxury does not compromise driving range. Are you excited?

Chevrolet Bolt: Is It Just A Spec-Sheet Hero?

#Chevrolet #ChevroletBolt – Chevrolet Bolt: Is It Just A Spec-Sheet Hero? : Things are not looking so good for the all-new Chevrolet Bolt as the EV hatchback from GM is unable to enjoy an impactful debut in the market. The Bolt showed signs of life on the sales front in both January and February but March saw the figures going south-bound.

Some are blaming it on GM for being sluggish in pushing out the Bolt on a nationwide basis but this is not the only issue for the car. It appears that the public is now learning on the cons of having a Bolt EV and it repelled them away from owning the car.

Those that have seated inside the Chevrolet Bolt have been loud in criticizing the comfort aspects of the vehicle. The seats feel cheap and they are too narrow and stiff for a comfortable journey.

Then there is the fact that the price is perceived as too high by the average consumers. Other points to note include the lacking in ability for a long road-trip and the lacking of real fast charging network.

With all these variables combined, it prevents the Bolt EV from making it big in the auto industry. This is such a waste as the Bolt is already an attractive vehicle on the specs sheet. The car can offer 238 miles of driving and it also has a useful infotainment system.

GM better buck up or risk having the Bolt being turned into just another spec-sheet hero.

Microsoft Surface Phone release date, news: New patent filing proves Surface Phone's release?

#MicrosoftSurface #SurfacePhone – Microsoft Surface Phone release date, news: New patent filing proves Surface Phone’s release? : Speculations about the development of the Microsoft Surface Phone refuse to die down, as new rumors claim that the release of the highly anticipated smartphone will be announced by the tech giant soon.

Recent reports claim that the new patent filing that was posted recently by Free Patents Online is pertaining to a brand-new type of multi-layered phone display that was made from tiled panels that curve at the edge.

According to Express UK, the curved edges of are featured in the design of the patent are made to block the light that will pass through from the gaps. This will help the device feature one continuous image in the display. The report claims that the patented design will solve one of the biggest problems seen in devices that feature hinged displays where several panels could break the perception of the users on the objects featured on the screen.

However, the patent application does not specify if the design is intended for the much-awaited Microsoft Surface Phone.

Talks about the development of the Microsoft Surface Phone first intensified when the company’s CEO Satya Nadella hinted about their plans for the smartphone market in an interview with Australian Financial Review.

According to Nadella, they will push through with the development of new smartphone products that will not be defined by the current leaders in the steep smartphone competition.

“We will continue to be in the phone market not as defined by today’s market leaders, but by what it is that we can uniquely do in what is the most ultimate mobile device,” the Microsoft CEO stated in the interview back in November 2016. “Therefore [with Nokia assets], we stopped doing things that were me-too and started doing things, even if they are today very sub-scale, to be very focused on a specific set of customers who need a specific set of capabilities that are differentiated and that we can do a good job of.”

But Microsoft has yet to announce its actual plans for the Surface Phone device in the coming days.

BioWare promises to improve Mass Effect: Andromeda over time

#MassEffect #MassEffectAndromeda – BioWare promises to improve Mass Effect: Andromeda over time : The criticisms of Mass Effect: Andromeda have been numerous and emphatic so far. BioWare said today that it has heard that feedback, and in response, the company laid out a plan to fix the game’s technical issues and improve its overall quality.

In a post on the Mass Effect website, BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn stopped short of issuing any sort of apology for Andromeda’s problems, but said the studio “has been poring over your comments and feedback, looking to discover what you like about the game, as well as areas we can evolve or improve.”

Flynn noted that BioWare is releasing a patch this Thursday, April 6, that will fix a number of bugs and introduce some improvements that fans have been asking for. The version 1.05 patch will resolve problems such as saves not working properly, incorrect playback of music or voice-overs, Ryder becoming stuck in a pose, and Ryder using a zig-zag running animation.

The update will also make it possible to skip ahead when traveling between planets in the galaxy map, which addresses one of the biggest complaints from players. Other changes include increases in the inventory limits, better-looking eyes for humans and asari, cheaper and more accessible remnant decryption keys, and “improved lip-sync and facial acting during conversations, including localized [voice-over].”

That last issue has made Andromeda something of a laughingstock among the gaming community; GIFs and clips of poor facial expressions and animations flooded social media shortly after the game became available on EA Access and Origin Access.

Andromeda has also taken heat for deeper problems, and Flynn said BioWare is working to address those issues in patches that the studio is planning to release “over the next two months,” as well as technical problems.

People playing as a male Ryder have complained about the lack of same-sex romances, and one of the items on the docket is “improvements to male romance options” for the character. BioWare is also working on “adjustments to conversations with Hainly Abrams.” Abrams is a transgender woman, and the writing of her character has been roundly criticized for being out of step with the actual experiences and preferences of transgender individuals. Other planned updates to Andromeda include further improvements to cinematics and animations, more variety in the character creator, and additional upgrades to characters’ hair and appearance.

BioWare is also considering adding free cosmetic items to the single-player campaign. As for Andromeda’s multiplayer component, the studio plans to add to the APEX missions that are currently available in the game, along with new maps, characters and weapons.

“We want to hear from you about your experiences, both what you love about the game and what you’d like to see changed,” said Flynn. “We’re listening, and we’re committed to partnering with you as we continue to explore the Andromeda galaxy together.”

Nintendo Switch Stock Issues Solved; Restocking of NES Classic Edition Addressed

#NintendoNES #NintendoSwitch – Nintendo Switch Stock Issues Solved; Restocking of NES Classic Edition Addressed : The demands for Nintendo’s newest consoles the Switch and the NES Classic Edition brought commotion in the gaming world. The issue of restocking was not only faced by gamers but retailers as well.

However, while the Nintendo Switch is still short on stock, and the fans who pre-ordered are still waiting for their consoles, it seems like there is hope in sight. A report from Express UK said that Gamestop will be restocking the Switch.

Gamestop confirmed that they will be restocking the Nintendo Switch on March 22. Buyers who get a new Switch now will also benefit from updates from Nintendo’s end including the issues with its left Joy-Con controller.

The popularity of Nintendo Switch is mainly attributed to the portability it offers, a hybrid game console that provides amazing gaming experience as what stationary consoles provide. Gamer concerns were pointed out to the sticker price which was $10 higher than on PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U.

The Nintendo Switch has already sold more than 1.5 million units and is on the way to hit 2 million by the end of March. The new demands may lead manufacturers to produce 16 million units instead of the 8 million-unit original plan.
Industry leaders are confident that the Nintendo Switch may surpass the Nintendo Wii. With around 100 million units sold today, it is no doubt that the Nintendo Wii was the most popular gaming console.

Nintendo fans who couldn’t afford the Nintendo Switch opted for the cheaper one which is the NES Classic Edition. Costing only $59.99, the NES Classic Edition is indeed cheaper; however, the console is not an easy buy.

Another good news is on the way, according to Nintendo Wire, Best Buy will also be restocking the Nintendo Switch and the NES Classic Edition. Best Buy confirmed on their Twitter account that the Nintendo Switch and the NES Classic Edition will be available online, but still in “limited quantities”.
