Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Hinted to be Launched at the MWC

#SurfacePro5 #MicrosoftSurfacePro – Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Hinted to be Launched at the MWC : The Surface Pro 5 will most likely see its UK release following the MWC as all the rumors regarding price, specification as well as other details lead to a 2017 launch which will possibly happen this February in Barcelona.

Following the huge success that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has enjoyed people have already started to raise some question regarding when a successor will hit the shelves. Everyone is waiting for Microsoft to issue an official announcement regarding their new device and it is most likely to happen this month at the MWC with an official release date scheduled for March.

Taking into account that the next Microsoft big update when it comes to their Windows 10 OS, namely the Creators Update is not going to roll out until Spring this year, Microsoft might hold down on the release on their new Surface Pro 5 until then to make sure it comes updates with the latest software right out of the box.

Microsoft is now trying to sell as many Surface Pro 4 units as possible as the UK has seen huge cuts in terms of its price which can be found now for as low as 609 Pounds down from the initial price of 749 Pounds for the basic version. The more advanced models are also encountering some price cuts and the special offer will end pretty soon if not taken advantage of it quickly.

Spec wise, the Surface Pro 5 will come with a 4K display and a Surface Pen which will be wirelessly charged when docked into the device itself. The first quarter of this year should prove to be an interesting one as more and more manufacturers are coming up with a lot of interesting devices which currently keep the market competitive between them.

Tech enthusiasts cannot do anything but wait for the MWC to start this month and not only will there be a lot of interesting announcements from Microsoft but a lot of software giants and hardware manufacturers are going to present the latest trends in terms of tech thus making the event one not to be missed.

Samsung Rumored to Display Its Foldable Smartphone at the Upcoming MWC 2017

#SamsungDisplay #MWC2017 – Samsung Rumored to Display Its Foldable Smartphone at the Upcoming MWC 2017 : Samsung is definitely making an appearance at the MWC 2017 trade show, but not for the reasons you believe. Sure, it is expected to announce its flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S3 at the show but rumors are clamoring that the tech giant might also have something else up its sleeve in the form of a mobile device, and it isn’t going to be the Galaxy S8.

Galaxy X, the Rumored Foldable Smartphone Has Been Reported to Be Displayed in a Private Exhibition Room

According to information published by ETNews, Samsung will be displaying a foldable smartphone, which has been rumored to be called Galaxy X, or codename Project Valley. However, the rumor suggests that the device isn’t going to be put on display at the show floor, which is the place where several other manufacturers will be showcasing their offerings. Instead, it has been reported that the foldable smartphone is going to be put on display in a separate exhibition room and only a few select individuals will be able to glance upon what the company has been working on for so long.

It was previously rumored that Samsung would be working to release two of these devices, with the first one being released in 2017 while the second one would be announced next year. So far, what we have been led to believe in the form of rumors is that the Galaxy X will feature a book-like form factor, with the foldable display being flexible enough to turn into an actual book.

However, the company might not be too keen to release several of these devices primarily because the market isn’t ready to make a huge transition as far as mobile devices are concerned. They want a device that will work flawlessly as soon as they remove it from the box because after paying a premium for it, that is their very first expectation.

Even if the rumor does turn out to be true, the lucky individuals who have been invited to the private exhibition will probably be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Regardless, it will definitely be exciting to see what Samsung has is store for us as far as its foldable smartphone goes.

Sony Xperia XA At MWC 2017 Is Flagship Smartphone To Watch Out For?

#SonyXperiaXA #MWC2017 – Sony Xperia XA At MWC 2017 Is Flagship Smartphone To Watch Out For? : Sony is expected to unveil a flurry of smartphone during next month’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Among the said phones will be the Sony Xperia XA which is said to be the main object of the event. So far, Sony fans are getting pumped up as a supposed video of the phone leaked online recently.

The video features the supposed Sony Xperia XA phone being showcased at various angles. The leaker also showed some software features of the phone. From the looks of it, the phone is running the current Android 7.0 Nougat. Furthermore, the video seems to suggest that the phone has a security patch dated January 5, 2017. Unfortunately, as one scrutinizes the video even further, it is revealed that the model is said to be a G3121.

More on the questionable video

While the effort seems valiant, including the warning stickers at the back, the video is quite questionable. Questionable in a sense that the leaker kept on obfuscating the branding at the back of the phone. Furthermore, the brand at the top of the phones is also covered. However, the UI shows that the phone is an Xperia phone and that the Sony Playstation App is already built-in.

The video also showed a few camera functions of the phone. Unfortunately, it did not verify, in any way or another, whether the camera is indeed a 23-megapixel sensor. Nevertheless, the video showed that Full HD video capture is limited to 30 frames per second only.

From the outside, the phone looks good although the weird top and bottom bezel seem quite distracting. The display looked crisp and clear and the phone responds well with screen inputs.

To be fair, the prototype in the video does resemble that of earlier leaked rendered images of the phone. The wide top and bottom bezels are there as well as the hardware buttons near the bottom of the screen.

Sony Xperia XA Official Launch

As mentioned earlier, Sony is rumored to debut the phone during the first day of MWC 2017. The event will start on February 27 and run until March 2. It will host a number of mobile phone makers including Sony, Samsung and LG. At this point in time, not much is known about the phone. However, compared to the previous model, this one might also carry a Mediatek chip along with at least 2GB RAM.

Sony Could Be Planning Another 4K Smartphone at MWC 2017 – Top-End Hardware Will Be Present

#SonyXperia #4KSmartphone – Sony Could Be Planning Another 4K Smartphone at MWC 2017 – Top-End Hardware Will Be Present : Sony too has entered the fold of smartphone companies that will appear during the MWC 2017 trade show to showcase its wide range of phones, including a flagship device. It looks like in addition to following the same rectangular design cues of its previous generation phones, Sony is also expected to take a few traits from the Xperia Z5 Premium.

One Sony flagship Could Be the First in the World to Feature a 4K Display Coupled With a Snapdragon 835 SoC

According to a website, it appears that the codename of the upcoming Sony device is in line with the company’s origin. Being a Japanese tech firm, the codename of the flagship is Yoshino, which isn’t surprising. The surprising this is that the flagship has been rumored to feature a Snapdragon 835 SoC. With Samsung having rumored to take up the entire initial shipment of Qualcomm’s latest and greatest chipset, we’re wondering how will Sony manage to incorporate the high-end chip inside the expected smartphone. Looks like we’ll wait to find out.

According to the hardware specifications, the Sony Yoshino will feature a 5.5-inch 4K display, making it only the second smartphone in the world to feature a 4K display. We all know that a 4K panel on a mobile computing device is going to be battery guzzler which is probably why Sony will continue to use its adaptive display technology, which switches between the 4K resolution and 1080p in order to conserve battery life. One added benefit of having a 4K resolution is that it will thoroughly upgrade the VR experience, and if this flagship comes with an AMOLED display, it will add to that experience as well.

The flagship will most likely be using one of Sony’s latest camera sensors in order to go head to head with the likes of Galaxy S8 and LG G6, but we’re not so sure that the company will be keen on using a dual-camera setup on the high-end offering. Let us hope that the pricing is done right if the company wants to take on the rest of the Android flagship competition.

Xiaomi Mi6 Launching At MWC 2017: Here's What You Need To Know

#Xiaomi #XiaomiMi6 – Xiaomi Mi6 Launching At MWC 2017: Here’s What You Need To Know : For a while, rumors about a forthcoming smartphone flagship, Xiaomi Mi6, from Xiaomi have floated around. In addition to a 4K display capability, it has been leaked that this new product is also equipped with a 16-core processor.

Amid all the uncertainties surrounding the next item from the Chinese tech firm, what is likely to occur is the company’s participation during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event in Barcelona this February 2017. It is probable that the Mi6 will be unveiled there.

It is perceived that Xiaomi’s newest handset will initially surface in Mainland China. Judging from this scenario, the devices will be marketed by noted importers like GearBest and Geekbuying.

Observers anticipate that Xiaomi will be introducing three models, namely, the Mi6 Lite, the Mi6 Standard and the Mi6 Pro. Sony will probably integrate a 4MP front lens and a 12MP sensor-supported rear camera.

In terms of design, the metal-cased unit will have a home button where a fingerprint sensor is embedded. It is likely that an OLED surface will be placed. RAM capability will possibly range between 4GB to 6GB with 128GB to 256GB memory storage.

Based on the full HD screens installed in previous Xiaomi items, the immediate jump to Ultra HD, as initially leaked, is quite questionable. Considering that the mobile industry is trending on VR components, the adjustment will most probably be focused on instituting the Quad-HD display.

The approach fits into the VR procedure and besides, integrating the quad element will still provide a full HD picture. Meanwhile, the 16-core approach is just out of line. As of late, the availability of two highly-functional processors does not support the specification involved.

Samsung and Qualcomm have unveiled the octa-core Snapdragon 835. Incorporating the hardware with a deca-core Helio X30 set does not match the perceived 16-chip outlook. Be it known that this 10nm Snapdragon processor enhances functionality by 30 percent in terms of efficiency, 27 percent with regard to performance and 40 percent in terms of sustainability.

Considering that the mobile industry is leaning towards a dual-curved edge frame, it is possible that the Xiaomi Mi6 will assume the said structure. With a highly-efficient Snapdragon processor in place, it is likely that the unit will need the Quick Charge 4.0 component which can actually support five hours of power resulting from a five-minute loading.

Nokia Android Phone With Snapdragon 835 SoC in the Works, Company Hints

#Nokia #NokiaAndroid – Nokia Android Phone With Snapdragon 835 SoC in the Works, Company Hints  : HMD Global, the company that owns rights to the Nokia brand, has just dropped a hint that the company may soon reveal a new high-end flagship smartphone. While responding to some user queries on Chinese social network Weibo, Nokia’s account seemingly confirmed that the company is working on a Snapdragon 835-based smartphone. The company however added that this may take time which means Nokia’s smartphone featuring a Snapdragon 835 processor may come out late this year.

On a query (via NokiaPowerUser) about rumoured Snapdragon 835 smartphone, Nokia’s Weibo account replied, “Understood your mood, because the new high-end Snapdragon SoC has just released, please give us some time to prepare, when the time will be made public.” [Translated by Google Translate]

Nokia’s response on the Snapdragon 835 query clarifies that the company isn’t ruling out any possibility of a smartphone featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. Though, the company is very clear that this will take some time.

A Snapdragon 835-powered Nokia P1 smartphone was leaked recently and is expected to be the premium offering from Nokia. It is rumoured to start around $800 (roughly Rs. 54,500) and feature top-notch innards including 5.3-inch display with Gorilla Glass 5 with either full-HD or QHD screen resolution. The Nokia P1 is also expected to pack 6GB of RAM. The smartphone is rumoured to launch at MWC 2017.

The Weibo post also shows Nokia’s response for a query related to Intel Kaby Lake processor. The company replies, “For information on Nokia Windows devices, please follow up.” This contradicts information given by both Nokia and HMD Global thus far, as both companies had announced they would launch Android-based smartphones and tablets.

In the meanwhile, a 18.4-inch display tablet with Nokia branding has shown up on GFXBench benchmarking site. Spotted by Nokia Power User, the Android Nougat based tablet is listed to sport an 18.4-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) display, a Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage, a 12-megapixel rear camera, a 12-megapixel front camera, as well as 4G LTE (via a SIM card slot), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC connectivity options.

Last week, Nokia received tremendous response from consumers in China in the first flash sale of the comeback smartphone, the Nokia 6, in China. The smartphone went out of stock in a minute in its first flash sale in China.

For the upcoming MWC 2017, Nokia has slotted an event at the event as well, where it is expected to announce few more Nokia-Android phones.

LG Confirms G6 for Mobile World Congress 2017

#LGG6 #MWC2017 – LG Confirms G6 for Mobile World Congress 2017 : It would seem that almost every phone maker are now preparing for the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Spain. Of course, LG is pulling all the stops for the MWC 2017 unveiling of its newest LG G6 smartphone. The company has started releasing invites for the upcoming event that will start on February 27.

LG will be spearheading the opening ceremony on February 26 by officially unveiling the G6. The event slogan, “See More, Play More,” refers to the phone’s massive 5.7-inch QHD+ display. After the said event, LG is said to officially release its newest flagship in just a few weeks. According to earlier rumors, the LG G6 will become available on March 10.

LG intends to release the G6 a full month earlier than initially planned to get ahead of its main competition. This decision has a lot to do with the fact that Samsung plans on releasing the Galaxy S8 some time in the end of March.

The LG G6 will be the first Android phone to sport the newest Snapdragon 835 chip from Qualcomm. Earlier leaks suggest that the processor will be paired with a 6GB RAM. According to Android Central, the G6’s display is an active matrix OLED panel with an aspect ratio of 2:1. Because of the unique aspect ratio, screen resolution is set at 2880×1440 pixels with a pixel density of 564ppi.

Apart from the weird display aspect ratio, the LG G6 also dropped the modular design that was popularized by its predecessor. Now, instead of being removable, the battery is now fixed within the phone’s case. Furthermore, the new design made way for some ingress protection rating to be included in the design.

Meanwhile, the MWC is an annual event that is held in Barcelona, Spain. This event hosts a number of mobile device makers like Sony, HTC, Huawei and others. Most of the mobile devices that will be released within the year are announced during this event.

In addition to LG, Blackberry is also officially unveiling its newest smartphone, dubbed “Mercury” in the said event. For more updates on the LG G6 and the Mobile World Congress 2017.

LG G6 To Be Announced On February 26 At Mobile World Congress 2017

#LGG6 #MWC2017 – LG G6 To Be Announced On February 26 At Mobile World Congress 2017: LG has finally revealed the date of the press event for the upcoming G6 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017. The event will take place on February 26 at 12 PM, which clashes with other big press events at the MWC 2017.

We can expect to see the LG G6 unleashed at the event. This time around, LG is apparently dropping the modular design and going after enhancement in the overall quality of the smartphone. We’re interested in perceiving what they have at the top of the preference list for quality improvement.

Various reports about the upcoming LG G6 talk about the rumoured 1440 x 2880 pixels 564ppi display. Even LG could be seen boasting the display in one of the teasers of the G6. The display comes with 2:1 aspect ratio instead of the standard 16:9 ratio. Interestingly, the 2:1 aspect ratio is gradually gaining footing in the video industry. The 2013 Netflix show “House of Cards” and last year’s “Stranger Things” were featured in 2:1 aspect ratio.

LG believes that 2:1 aspect ratio allows more frame for the picture. The company even made the similar claim with the media invite graphics, which states that 18:9 ratio allowed better display of fireworks inside the image. Even the invite slogan – “See More, Play More” emphasizes on the same thought. Given that the 2:1 aspect ratio plays well on the 5.7-inch screen of LG G6, we would like to see how LG tackles the bezel region and increment the screen-to-body proportion.

Earlier, LG teased the reliability of battery used on the G6 that packs in heat diffusion piping within. Even in the media invite, LG affirms that the G6 will be subjected to accurate quality tests – well beyond what’s required by the industry benchmarks. These claims by LG are nothing less than a dig on Samsung’s infamous Note7 that succumbed to discontinuation due to serious battery issues.

LG is also expected to present an upgraded AI assistant, similar to Siri and Cortana. AI assistants are in demand nowadays, which is why even Samsung is rumored to be working on its own AI assistant dubbed as Bixby.

Sony Xperia XA (2017) Leaked; 2nd Gen Smartphone' Launching At MWC 2017 Seen; Everything to Know [VIDEO]

#SonyXperia #XperiaXA2017 – Sony Xperia XA (2017) Leaked; 2nd Gen Smartphone’ Launching At MWC 2017 Seen; Everything to Know [VIDEO] : Sony has announced its Xperia XA, Xperia X and Xperia X Performance February last year and now an upcoming smartphone from the Japanese tech giant has been spotted. It was speculated to be Xperia XA’s second generation and it is anticipated to make its first appearance at Mobile Word Congress (MWC) 2017.

According to Startl Tech, it was way back in December that the first images of rumored Sony Xperia XA second generation have been spotted. The smartphone’s pictures looked like the Xperia XA handset and, seemingly, would be featuring a five-inch display. Now, new images of the device have surfaced and it was now predicted to be presented at the exhibition MWC 2017.

Furthermore, Android Headlines stated that the shape of the speculated Sony Xperia XA second generation is easily recognizable and this device will feature slim side bezels. Its display will be ever-so-slightly curved or at least it appears like it.

The Type-C port is positioned at the bottom of the device and it substitutes the microUSB port that has existed on the first-gen Xperia XA. Unluckily, it is not yet confirmed if the gadget will be having a fingerprint scanner positioned on the back portion of the allegedly successor of Xperia XA.

It can be remembered that the Sony Xperia XA is a budget device that boasts a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The smartphone is engineered by Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor and is powered by 2,300mAh battery. As for the camera department, Sony Xperia XA housed a 13-megapixel snapper and an 8-megapixel front-shooter.

As of the moment, Sony hasn’t confirmed if the leaked render of its upcoming smartphone is really the Xperia XA second generation or maybe a different handset. With this, the company’s avid fans are urged to keep an eye until the Japanese tech affirms these speculations at least during the MWC 2017.
