Samsung Galaxy S9 News: Successor To The Galaxy S8 Already In The Works

#Samsung #GalaxyS9 – Samsung Galaxy S9 News: Successor To The Galaxy S8 Already In The Works : Reports of a new Samsung flagship device are already all over the internet and it’s not the foldable Galaxy X or the Galaxy Note 8. While the Galaxy S8 has yet to drop in stores and the two other Samsung devices are expected within the year, the Korean tech giant has supposedly started working on the Galaxy S9.

International Business Times cited some sources which said that the Korean conglomerate is already working on the Galaxy S9. The report came all the way from the company’s home turf. “The Bell”, a Korean news outlet, reported that Samsung has begun development on the display panels for next year’s flagship smartphone.

The reason why Samsung is around six months ahead of schedule as compared to its previous devices’ timelines is that it wants the Galaxy S9 to be fool-proof and to be even better quality-wise than the highly impressive Galaxy S8. The debacle that is the Samsung Galaxy S7 is still fresh in their minds which are why the company is taking every precautionary step possible. Furthermore, Samsung already has laid the groundwork for a much safer process in manufacturing its devices after the exploding battery fiasco. In fact, with the way things are going so far for the Galaxy S8, it seems like Samsung has finally succeeded on burying its demons or is at least off to a good start.

BGR reported that the team in charge with the Galaxy S9’s display is already set to supply some samples sometime in the middle of this month which is basically a week or so from now. This bit of news, if proven true, clearly indicates that the display team has been hard at work for some time now. The source also mentioned that development of other vital components of the Galaxy S9 will start a month after the display gets the go-signal.

A leak showing a prototype of the Samsung Galaxy S8 indicated that the company toyed with the idea of giving the flagship smartphone a dual camera set-up. It remains to be seen if the Galaxy S9 will get the feature.

The early start can also mean an earlier launch for the next flagship handset. The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus was understandably delayed because of their controversial predecessor and the company seems intent to get a good head start with the Samsung Galaxy S9.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Unboxed And Coming On April 21

#Samsung #GalaxyS8 – Samsung Galaxy S8 Unboxed And Coming On April 21 : The Samsung Galaxy S8 is finally here… almost. As expected, the Korean conglomerate unveiled its latest flagship smartphone at the Unpacked 2017 event held yesterday, March 29. Pre-orders for the handset will start on the 31st while the device itself will be shipped to U.S. shores come April 21. This gives fans three weeks to ponder on their decision while waiting for their orders to be delivered.

There’s little to debate about regarding the features and specifications of the Galaxy S8. On paper, the smartphone is arguably one of the best ever. Understandably, some people may be having second thoughts about purchasing the smartphone because of Samsung’s recent bad rep courtesy of recalls, arrests, and exploding batteries.

It’s undeniable, however, that the highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S8 is a beautiful piece of machinery. The svelte look of the Galaxy S8 is both surprising and not. Despite the number of rumors and leaks showing the design of the Galaxy S8, seeing and holding the actual device still fuels awe and amazement. The Samsung Galaxy S8 combines glass and metal perfectly while giving its users more space to work on with its huge 5.8-inch screen (6.2 inches for the S8 Plus) packed in a rather lithe body. The bezels are distinctly slimmer, the sides are curved and the physical home button is gone.

Another feature that got an impressive upgrade is its front camera. The Galaxy S8 now sports an 8MP front-facing camera, up from the S7’s 5MP. The rear camera, however, remained at 12MP.

Samsung also introduced its Bixby voice assistant. The company claims that Bixby is capable of doing more as compared to other digital assistants, though, for now, it will only work with certain Samsung apps.

The biggest concern with the Galaxy S8, as CBS noted, is its battery. Samsung acknowledged the embarrassment of the Galaxy Note 7 when its executives explained that the company implemented new and better standards and procedures including an eight-point battery check for their devices starting with the Galaxy S8.

The Verge stated that Samsung did not announce a fixed price for the flagship smartphone. This is a common practice of the Korean tech company which prefers that carriers dictate the actual retail price. However, many estimate the smartphone to be available for no less than $720. While the price will depend on the carriers, what is set in stone is that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will come on April 21.

#SamsungGalaxy #GalaxyTabS3 – Galaxy Tab S3 Photo Surfaces Ahead of MWC 2017 Launch : In the next few weeks, Samsung will be officially launching the new Galaxy Tab S3. In addition to the silver color, the original black version of the tablet will also be available. However, it would seem that this year’s tablet from Samsung will not be released in a smaller eight-inch screen.

The leaked image of the Galaxy Tab S3 shows that it will also have an S Pen with it. This will be the first time that that Galaxy tablet will support stylus input. Unfortunately, it would seem that the tablet does not have provisions for S Pen storage, according to the report.

The Galaxy Tab S3 will sport an older Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm. This will be paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of flash storage. Users will be able to extend system storage by adding a flash memory into the microSD card slot.

As for the display size, as mentioned, the tablet will only be released as one 9.7-inch version. The aspect ratio of the SuperAMOLED screen is 4:3 with resolutions of 2048×1536 pixels. The camera at the back will be a 12-megapixel sensor while the front snapper is a 4.7-megapixel version.

At the moment, the Galaxy Tab S3 is rumored to be priced somewhere between $500 and $600. Samsung is yet to announce the actual price during this year’s Mobile World Congress in Spain. Based on the initial event announcement made by Samsung, the Galaxy Tab S3 will be featured during the event’s first day, Feb. 26.

Like in any leaked information on the Internet, this one should be taken with a grain of salt too. The good news is, consumers will not have long to wait before the Galaxy Tab S3 is released.

#MicrosoftSurface #SurfacePhone – MICROSOFT SURFACE PHONE HAS FOUND A COMPETITOR IN SAMSUNG’S FOLDABLE GALAXY X : Samsung is reportedly going to be showcasing its foldable display technology at the upcoming Mobile World Congress. The technology is said to be present on a smartphone dubbed the Galaxy X.

The Samsung Galaxy X could be possibly unveiled at the MWC 2017. Information about the smartphone from the Korean tech giant has been slowly leaking out on the internet. However, nothing concrete has shown up to support these claims of an actual foldable smartphone.

A report from ETNews claims that the company will be showing the Galaxy X behind closed doors at the MWC 2017. Only the “invited” will be able to take a look at the smartphone.

The Korean company is ensuring that any future venture will not cost the company any more money such as what happened with its Galaxy Note 7 thus the closed-door-by-invitation-only presentation. According to ETNews, the Korean tech giant will only be presenting prototypes to a selected few for it to get a better understanding of a possible market response towards the phone. The prototypes are said to be capable of bending both inwards and outwards.

ETNews further mentions that the company is looking to market and license this particular technology to manufacturers present at the trade show. If the market response to its closed-door presentation is optimistic it could pave the way for possible contracts with other mobile device manufacturers. The company is also looking to present a range of other foldable devices along with the Galaxy X at the MWC.

It should be noted that Redmond-based tech giant Microsoft, too, has filed a patent for a device with a flexible hinge and display that could transform a phone into a tablet. Speculations are saying that Microsoft’s foldable display technology could probably appear in the Surface Phone. Apart from Samsung and Microsoft working on foldable phones, LG has also been reported to be working on a similar device of its own.

Samsung Rumored to Display Its Foldable Smartphone at the Upcoming MWC 2017

#SamsungDisplay #MWC2017 – Samsung Rumored to Display Its Foldable Smartphone at the Upcoming MWC 2017 : Samsung is definitely making an appearance at the MWC 2017 trade show, but not for the reasons you believe. Sure, it is expected to announce its flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S3 at the show but rumors are clamoring that the tech giant might also have something else up its sleeve in the form of a mobile device, and it isn’t going to be the Galaxy S8.

Galaxy X, the Rumored Foldable Smartphone Has Been Reported to Be Displayed in a Private Exhibition Room

According to information published by ETNews, Samsung will be displaying a foldable smartphone, which has been rumored to be called Galaxy X, or codename Project Valley. However, the rumor suggests that the device isn’t going to be put on display at the show floor, which is the place where several other manufacturers will be showcasing their offerings. Instead, it has been reported that the foldable smartphone is going to be put on display in a separate exhibition room and only a few select individuals will be able to glance upon what the company has been working on for so long.

It was previously rumored that Samsung would be working to release two of these devices, with the first one being released in 2017 while the second one would be announced next year. So far, what we have been led to believe in the form of rumors is that the Galaxy X will feature a book-like form factor, with the foldable display being flexible enough to turn into an actual book.

However, the company might not be too keen to release several of these devices primarily because the market isn’t ready to make a huge transition as far as mobile devices are concerned. They want a device that will work flawlessly as soon as they remove it from the box because after paying a premium for it, that is their very first expectation.

Even if the rumor does turn out to be true, the lucky individuals who have been invited to the private exhibition will probably be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Regardless, it will definitely be exciting to see what Samsung has is store for us as far as its foldable smartphone goes.
