Xiaomi Mi 5c Launch Pegged for February in New Leak; Won't Support Fast Charging

#Xiaomi #XiaomiMi5c – Xiaomi Mi 5c Launch Pegged for February in New Leak; Won’t Support Fast Charging : Just when we were about to give up hope on the Xiaomi Mi 5c, it has cropped up online again. The device has reportedly been spotted on the website of China’s Quality Certification (3C) centre, revealing key details about the device, and also re-igniting hopes of a launch.

GizmoChina reports that five different Xiaomi models went through certification on the website, but the one with the model number MAE136 is expected to be the Xiaomi Mi 5c (aka Xiaomi Meri). The other model numbers that went through certification are 2105212, 2016089, 2016101, and MBE6A5.

The listing reveals that the model number MAE136 will use a 5V/2A power adapter, which means that the Xiaomi Mi 5c will not support fast charging. The smartphone is tipped to come with really narrow bezels, and a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 2.5D curved glass protection. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the company’s in-house Pinecone processor paired with 3GB of RAM.

Furthermore, it should offer 64GB of inbuilt storage. The Xiaomi Mi 5c is pegged to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megpaixel front camera for selfies and video chats. It is expected to run on Android Marshmallow-based MIUI 8 out of the box.

After many delays, the launch is finally pegged to be around February. Xiaomi was heavily expected to launch the device in December, but that didn’t happen, and we wouldn’t recommend you to put your hopes up this time either. Live images of the device along with specifications have been tipped several times in the past, and we sure do hope that the Xiaomi Mi 5c sees the light of the day soon.

Redmi Note 4 Black And Blue Editions Now Available Outside China

#RedmiNote4 #RedmiNote4Black – Redmi Note 4 Black And Blue Editions Now Available Outside China : Xiaomi has already made its sparks over the smartphone market with its innovative range of handsets. Now the company is getting ready make elements little trendy and freaky as Xiaomi has started playing with colors just like Samsung. Samsung began launching its Galaxy S7 Edge with attractive color options such as a  Blue Coral and Black Pearl. Xiaomi also seems to protect its position as a potential rival to the South Korean tech giant with its very own color options for its Redmi Note 4 as well.

According to GSMArena, Xiaomi launched its Redmi Note 4 in two color options namely black and blue just a month back. Both the color variants were unveiled then exclusively for China. Though the vibrant color option was not that much exclusive as compared to those of Samsung’s Galaxy S7 Edge. But these two models were able to stand on the expectations of the majority of buyers and gadget lovers of the country. The current insights suggest that Xiaomi has shown the green signal for these two editions of Redmi Note 4 to be sold in other countries as well. It should be noted in this context that Redmi Note 4 is also available with silver, gray, and gold color options as well.

As per DirectD‘s latest listing, Redmi Note 4 is now available in Malaysia in both black and blue color options. The black variant is available with 3GB of RAM coupled with 32 GB storage option. While the blue model is listed with the same Random Access Memory specifications alongside 64GB internal memory. Buyers interested in buying the blue edition can grab their copy just by paying RM 999 (about USD 225).

White Xiaomi Mi Mix Release Due Soon

#Xiaomi #XiaomiMiMix – White Xiaomi Mi Mix Release Due Soon : Xiaomi launched the Mi Mix late last year. It’s a smartphone unlike any other available on the market right now. It’s fashioned out of ceramic and features an edge-to-edge display that’s the center of attention. The company initially offered this device in black but at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 earlier this month it confirmed that the white Xiaomi Mi Mix is in the pipeline as well. It appears that Xiaomi will soon release the white Mi Mix.

Xiaomi initially announced the Mi Mix as a concept device to showcase its vision for the future but surprised everyone by launching it for the public just a few weeks later. The consumer response has been great even though this handset is only available in select markets right now.

It features a 6.4 inch edge-to-edge display with a Snapdragon 821 processor and up to 6GB of RAM. It has a 16 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera, fingerprint sensor, 4,400mAh battery, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Xiaomi confirmed at CES 2017 that the white Mi Mix will be exclusive to China, at least at this point in time and that it’s going to cost the same as its black counterpart. Xiaomi’s marketing director Zang Zhiyuan has posted on Weibo that the white Mi Mix is going to be released very soon. It may be out early next month some time after the Chinese New Year.

Xiaomi Mi6 Launching At MWC 2017: Here's What You Need To Know

#Xiaomi #XiaomiMi6 – Xiaomi Mi6 Launching At MWC 2017: Here’s What You Need To Know : For a while, rumors about a forthcoming smartphone flagship, Xiaomi Mi6, from Xiaomi have floated around. In addition to a 4K display capability, it has been leaked that this new product is also equipped with a 16-core processor.

Amid all the uncertainties surrounding the next item from the Chinese tech firm, what is likely to occur is the company’s participation during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event in Barcelona this February 2017. It is probable that the Mi6 will be unveiled there.

It is perceived that Xiaomi’s newest handset will initially surface in Mainland China. Judging from this scenario, the devices will be marketed by noted importers like GearBest and Geekbuying.

Observers anticipate that Xiaomi will be introducing three models, namely, the Mi6 Lite, the Mi6 Standard and the Mi6 Pro. Sony will probably integrate a 4MP front lens and a 12MP sensor-supported rear camera.

In terms of design, the metal-cased unit will have a home button where a fingerprint sensor is embedded. It is likely that an OLED surface will be placed. RAM capability will possibly range between 4GB to 6GB with 128GB to 256GB memory storage.

Based on the full HD screens installed in previous Xiaomi items, the immediate jump to Ultra HD, as initially leaked, is quite questionable. Considering that the mobile industry is trending on VR components, the adjustment will most probably be focused on instituting the Quad-HD display.

The approach fits into the VR procedure and besides, integrating the quad element will still provide a full HD picture. Meanwhile, the 16-core approach is just out of line. As of late, the availability of two highly-functional processors does not support the specification involved.

Samsung and Qualcomm have unveiled the octa-core Snapdragon 835. Incorporating the hardware with a deca-core Helio X30 set does not match the perceived 16-chip outlook. Be it known that this 10nm Snapdragon processor enhances functionality by 30 percent in terms of efficiency, 27 percent with regard to performance and 40 percent in terms of sustainability.

Considering that the mobile industry is leaning towards a dual-curved edge frame, it is possible that the Xiaomi Mi6 will assume the said structure. With a highly-efficient Snapdragon processor in place, it is likely that the unit will need the Quick Charge 4.0 component which can actually support five hours of power resulting from a five-minute loading.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Certified By FCC; Redmi Note 5 Features Revealed

#Xiaomi #RedmiNote5 – Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Certified By FCC; Redmi Note 5 Features Revealed : While the launch of the Redmi Note 4 is just around the corner and set for Jan. 19 in India, the specification and features of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 have already leaked out online.

It is reported that the Redmi Note 5 has been certified by the United States Federal Communication Commission (FCC), with the leaked filing revealing some crucial information on the upcoming smartphone. Although, it is still not clear what fans should expect, the leak also gave a glimpse as to the expected cost and the official debut date – before the end of Jan.

The FCC certificate reveals that the Redmi Note 5 is expected to be priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 64GB variant and Rs. 10,999 for the 32GB variant, according BGR.

Furthermore, the leaked filling also reveals that the smartphone could feature a 5.5 inches full-HD display with a Corning Gorilla Glass 4, a 2.1GHz MediaTek Helio x25 deca-core SoC  or a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core SoC and a 4GB RAM.

It could also feature 32GB and 64GB onboard storage variants and a microSD slot of up to 128GB. The device is expected to have a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.

Redmi Note 5 will have a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support and connectivity options such as VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11n, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer is expected, Techradar reported.

The device will run on Android 7.1 Nougat-based MIUI 9 and although there are no leaked photos yet, the different shades in which the phone will be available are Gold, Silver, and Black. Judging by history, India is likely to get the Snapdragon variant, whereas the MediaTek variant could be sold in China and other Asian countries.

What is amazing is that the Redmi Note 4X could have a better Qualcomm Snapdragon than the Redmi Note 5 if the information from the FCC leak is to be considered. If this happens, it means the Redmi Note 4X would beat it successor. However, these are just mere speculations and expectations as Xiaomi is yet to confirm the update. The Redmi Note 5 cost could start from $191.

Xiaomi Mi 6 Leaks Reveal Flat LCD and Curved OLED Variants

#Xiaomi #XiaomiMi6 – Xiaomi Mi 6 Leaks Reveal Flat LCD and Curved OLED Variants : Xiaomi Mi 6, the successor to the 2016 flagship Mi 5 is rumored to be launching early next month. A new set of leaks from a Chinese website offers details on features and specifications of the handset.

Xiaomi will reportedly release two Mi 6 display variants, a regular Mi 6 and Mi 6 Pro model. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will arrive with a flat LCD display, while the Xiaomi Mi 6 Pro will feature a curved OLED screen similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S7 Edge. Another report from Gizmo China confirmed the same, adding Mi 6 has entered mass production and two handsets with regular and curved displays will launch.

Apart from the screen, both the devices will differ in terms of the RAM and internal storage. The standard Mi 6 variant will feature 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Pro model will pack a massive 6GB RAM with a 256GB of internal memory.

In addition, the Chinese report claims the Mi 6 will pack a physical home button embedded with a fingerprint sensor. Another one of the highlights of Mi 6 series is the dual rear camera setup. Details regarding the camera, however, are unclear at this point. Earlier reports hinted a 16-megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording, OIS, dual-tone LED flash and 4-megapixel selfie camera.

Previous reports have tipped Xiaomi Mi 6 will pack Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip. Built with 10nm fabrication process by Samsung, the chipset is capable of delivering up to 27 percent higher performance and 40 percent less power than the Snapdragon 821. It will also pack Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 technology for fast charging support.

Several reports have indicated Xiaomi Mi 6 may arrive with three different chipsets. The devices are as Mi 6S, Mi 6E, and Mi 6P. While the S hints Snapdragon, E stands for Helio or Exynos chipset and P is speculated to stand for company’s Pinecone chipset.

The handset will pack a 4,000 mAh battery and feature USB Type-C support for connectivity. On the software front, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is will run MIUI OS atop Android 7.0 Nougat. The device may also come with AI digital assistant as it has become a norm across newly launched devices.

Xiaomi hasn’t declared an official release for its highly anticipated device. This hasn’t prevented tech enthusiasts from speculating the launch date. While a Mobile World Congress unveiling remains quite likely, several reports indicate release as soon as Valentine’s day or even before that.

Xiaomi rumoured to launch Mi 6 in curved and flat display variants

#Xiaomi #XiaomiMi6 – Xiaomi rumoured to launch Mi 6 in curved and flat display variants : While Samsung said to go all-curved on its flagships, a new leak suggests Xaiomi will adopt its galaxy S7 success strategy with its next top end phone. Rumour has it that the Chinese smartphone maker will be launching Mi 6 in two variants — one with a usual flat display and another with a curved one. Both of them will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset that was officially launched this month at CES and is being manufactured by Samsung.

Xiaomi Mi 6 is said to launch next month, ahead of 2017 flagships from Samsung and LG. Citing sources, Androidheadlines says that the flat display model will be priced at 1,999 CNY that roughly translates to Rs 19,700, while the curved display variant will cost around 2,499 CNY, which is about Rs 24,700 according to current exchange rates.

It also claims none of the two variants will have dual camera, something that has become a staple with flagships.  The difference among the two models, apart from the display is that of the memory capacity. The cheaper variant will have 4GB RAM and the curved screen model will come with 6GB RAM.

As the previous leaks suggest, Mi6 will sport a design similar to the Mi Note 2. While the Mi Note 2 carries a 5.7-inch display, we expect the Mi 6 to come with a smaller screen size, around 5.15-inch. It will also have a physical home buttons below the display, housing the fingerprint sensor.

The phone will run Android Nougat 7.0 with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 on top. Although it was said the phone may launch on February 6, or around the Valentine’s Day (which makes no sense), fresh rumours also suggest it may rather prefer the MWC stage.

#Xiaomi RedmiNote5 – Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Specs and Pricing Leak Out : Xiaomi is working on a number of exciting smartphones to be released in the coming months, one of which is the Redmi Note 5. The phone’s specs and pricing were recently leaked out in a listing at the FCC. It appears that the Redmi Note 5 could be announced before the end of the month.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will apparently be made out of metal with a panel similar to its predecessor, while the phone will sport a 5.5-inch full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution with Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top, according to a new report. The smartphone could be powered by a Qualcomm 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 652 SoC and MediaTek’s helio X25 64-bit deca-core SoC.

The smartphone will use both chipsets, but their availability will depend on the market. The device might ship with 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. However, the memory capacity could be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

Rear camera capacity could reach 16MP on the rear

The Redmi Note 5 might feature a 16MP camera on the back, with an 8MP selfie snapper in the front for taking pictures and recording videos. The phone could draw power from a 4,000mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging feature. The fingerprint scanner will be located at the back of the phone, just below the rear camera.

The report says that the smartphone could come with MIUI 9 OS and Android 7.1 Nougat, and be offered in three different color variants: Black, Silver and Gold. The Redmi Note 5 could feature a price tag of about €200 ($212) in Europe, $200 in the US, and $191 in India.

The phone is said to be announced at the end of January, but that remains to be seen as this information should be taken with a grain of salt and the specs can only be confirmed at the time of launch. Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 3 last year.
